Your Nuvio TV Library, Watch Progress and Continue Watching, Done Properly
The library is the app's memory. How to build it, how progress is tracked, and the small habits that keep Continue Watching always right.

GUIDE INDEX On this page
Catalogues are for discovery; libraries are for living with. This guide covers the memory of the app, from the library testing we do for Nuvio TV readers who watch across a whole season, not a single night.
The library is a promise to your future self
When a series earns a place in your library, you are telling the app: this one matters, keep it close. Add series deliberately, from their details pages, as you start them, not in a hopeful bulk on day one. A library of eight real commitments beats eighty maybes, because the rows built from it (Continue Watching especially) stay fast, relevant and true. Films you finish rarely need library space; series in progress always do.
How watch progress actually behaves
Progress is saved as you watch, not when you politely exit, so a phone call, a dead battery or a doorbell does not cost you your place. Part watched episodes show their progress honestly, finished episodes clear the way for the next one, and the series page reflects all of it. Test this once, deliberately: stop an episode mid scene, close the app, reopen it, and watch your place reappear. Trust in a media center is built from exactly these small, verifiable moments.
Continue Watching is the home screen's contract
That row is the first thing you see and the thing you will use most, often with a remote in one hand and a drink in the other. Keep it clean by finishing what you start where you can, and by removing from your library the series you have honestly abandoned. The row can only be as honest as the library underneath it. The TV side of this habit, where the row matters most, is covered in the Android TV setup guide.
Sync makes the library plural
On one device, the library is a convenience. Across phone and TV, with a sync service connected, it becomes a single watching life shared by both screens. Connect Trakt or Simkl once, as the Trakt sync guide walks through, and a series added on the sofa is waiting on the phone, progress included. Households sharing one television profile get the full benefit of this; households sharing with small children will want the library kept adult and deliberate.
A monthly five minute tidy
Once a month: remove abandoned series, confirm your current three are present, and glance at progress on anything paused for a long time. Five minutes, four times a season, and the app will feel uncannily like it knows you, because in the only way that matters, it does.
A library that tells the truth
Keep the Nuvio TV library small, current and honest, and Nuvio TV will repay you every night at the top of the home screen. Progress in Nuvio TV is only useful when the rows built from it reflect what you really watch, so curate like an editor, not a collector.
Quick Answers
Does progress save if the app closes suddenly?
Yes. Progress is recorded during playback, so an interruption does not lose your place.
Should I add every film to the library?
Series benefit most. Finished films rarely need a permanent library place.
Does the library sync to my TV?
With a sync service connected, your library and history stay consistent across devices.
