Tom Becker reviews streaming software the way a projectionist checks a reel: in the dark, on the big screen, remote in one hand and notebook in the other, then again on a phone on the train. A media center has to survive both rooms to earn his recommendation, and that two screen standard is the one this site is built on.
What he does here
Tom installs every build we publish on our test phone and our Android TV, sets it up the way a new viewer would, adds addons, styles subtitles, downloads episodes, connects sync, and then watches whole evenings through the result. His guides come from those hours, including the addon habits that stay reliable and the TV settings that make a remote feel fast.
His reviewing standard
An app earns its rating at episode nine, not minute nine: when the library is full, progress matters, and the Continue Watching row has to be right every single night. Anything that is only impressive in a first run gets written up as exactly that.
Elsewhere
Tom's testing notes and per build findings feed the blog on this site, where new guides appear as the app grows.
